What is a CaymanMunda?
Classification is pending. An application to determine whether CaymanMunda is a place, a condition, or an administrative error was submitted to the Department of Circular Recursion and has been under review since before the Department existed.
Provisionally, and without prejudice: a reality-adjacent version of the Cayman Islands, in roughly our own time, with cocktails, WiFi, a beach bar called the Toof & Tonic, sentient blenders, and a number of things the Ministry would prefer we not list here.
Is there a brochure sanctioned by the Department of Tourism?
If one exists, no one is aware that the document ever existed. To be honest, that would be concerning for everyone involved.
Where do I get the books?
There are two tiers, as there are two tiers of everything here.
Free. The Specials, the illustrated art books, and the character playlists are published at no cost and require no account, no email address, and no form. Download them, keep them, pass them on. →
Paid. The mainline novels are full-length, fully illustrated, and available in print and ebook. These are how the project stays alive. →
Which tier you fall into is determined by immigration status, work permit category, and the phase of the Moon. Just kidding — it’s determined by whether you want the free ones or the paid ones.
Why are there so many websites?
Departmental proliferation is a natural process and should not be resisted. Each site was established to serve a specific function, and each has since developed opinions about the others. A map exists. The map is not to scale and the map is not current.
Who writes this?
Editorial. Editorial does not give interviews. Editorial is not available for comment. Editorial has been advised by Claptrap LLC, SARL, GmbH, Ltd, Inc, SpV that anonymity is a load-bearing feature of the structure and that removing it would void several things nobody has read.
Is any of this about real people?
No. Every character is invented, with the single exception of the donkey, who is real, who is a national hero, and who did not consent to any of this.
Institutions are fair game. Individuals are not. If you think you recognise someone, you have recognised a category, and the category has been failing you long before this project started.
Can I cite this in a complaint to an actual government department?
You may. We would advise against it. CaymanMunda is satire, and none of it is policy advice, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or a medical device.
That said, if you file a real complaint and receive a response indistinguishable from something on this site, we would very much like to hear about it.
Is anything here true?
The forms are real. The waiting is real. The donkey is real.
Everything else is a work of fiction and any resemblance to actual administrative practice is a coincidence that keeps happening.
